First of all, I would like to point out that the following application tips comply with the current expectations of German employers. If you have recently moved to Germany and you are seeking for a job, I highly recommend you to take your time and adapt your application documents to the German norms and, especially, to translate your CV and cover letter (or motivation letter, if given) into German. Because there are many job-seekers applying for the same jobs with CVs and motivation or cover letters that look all almost identical! And, if you really want to increase your chances of arousing the interest of HR Managers, the greatest hurdle is to stand out from the crowd.
Besides, I do not want to leave unmentioned that most employers in Germany expect a real good knowledge of the German language in order to ensure a smooth communication with their teams and customers. Therefore, I highly recommend you to take a German course in order to deepen your German knowledge so you really can score when applying for a job in Germany.
